THIS BAR HAS CLOSED! THIS BAR HAS CLOSED! THIS BAR HAS CLOSED!
This dart bar closed in February of 2008 and the Friday Night Blind Draw Doubles Dart Tournament has moved.
The Bar:
The Lazy Lizard is quite welcoming and has a great outdoor smoking patio that is quite busy during the warmer months. The bar area is quite expansive with tons of room to move around and you can settle in at the bar itself or at one of the many tables near the big screen television, looking onto the patio. The personable and friendly staff are always there to greet you with a smile and they'll remember your name after having met you just once!
The Dart Area:
With 6 dartboards and a "Dartmaster III", it's no wonder that The Lazy Lizard has become Toronto's dart hotspot. Two dart leagues, The Metro Toronto Area Dart League and The Queen Street Dart League, play out of there regularly on Tuesdays in the Fall and the Metro Women's League plays on Wednesdays. Add the weekly blind draw tournament on Fridays that attracts upwards of 40 players and you can see that this is the main place to go for a game of darts.

Situated along one main wall, the dart area provides ample space to have 6 games going at the same time with plenty of room for chalkers (if you have one). The boards, chalkboards, and supplies are always well maintained and the staff are accustomed to serving darters so you can expect fast and courteous service.

The Blind Draw Tournaments:
Every Friday night darters come from all around to compete in a friendly blind-draw doubles tournament. They tend to average 20-26 players but during the colder months it's not rare to see 40 people there by 7:00pm. The cost is $10.00 per player with an option to pay $1.00 more for the "high out" and "high score" of the night.

Skill levels range from beginner to quite good and it's a perfect opportunity for a newer player to come out and learn from more experienced players. Keep in mind that everyone is paying to participate and that a willingness to focus is appreciated. As fun as it is and as nice as people are, everyone is trying to play as best they can.

The Menu:
In addition to the standards such as wings, ribs, and sheppard's pie, the Lazy Lizard features daily specials that bring people in from all around. Their 1/2 price burgers are simply out of this world and are homemade by the owner himself! The daily $4 appetisers are in all actuality small meals that include homemade perogies, spring rolls, and pasta side dishes. Two appetisers is more than enough for one person and for 8 bucks, what more can you ask for?

Daily Specials:
  • Tuesdays:
    3oz Martinis ($6.99)!
  • Wednesdays:
    2for1 price burgers!
  • Thursdays:
    1/2 price wings!
    20oz Canadian/Coors Light ($4.50)
  • Fridays:
    1/2 price Fajitas!
  • Saturdays:
    $3.50 breakfast!
  • Sundays:
    2oz Caesars ($4.99)!
    $3.50 breakfast! !
Parking:
The Lizard is located in a strip mall as and as such there is limited parking upstairs that is usually reserved for the customers of the other stores. Street parking (paid and unpaid) is ample but it will vary depending on the time and day that you plan to visit. Overall you should be able to find a spot within at least 5 minute walk to the bar.

Public Transit:
As mentioned above, the Davisville subway on the Yonge Street line will drop you off at the corner of Davisville and Yonge. Walk south one block to Balliol, turn left at the Mr. Submarine, and walk up the street (about a minute) to the strip mall. You'll see the sign for the Lizard at the eastern end of the mall.

Directions:
The bar is located on Balliol street, which is just one block south of the Davisville subway station. From Yonge and Bloor it is a ten minute subway ride and a two minute walk from the subway.

If you are driving in from the north, take the Allen Expressway to Eglinton, head east to Yonge, and then turn right to go south on Yonge street and go one block past Davisville to Balliol. Turn left (east) onto Balliol and you'll see the strip mall directly on your left. The Lazy Lizard is at the eastern-end of the strip mall, downstairs.

The Dart Action:
