The Dart Area:
In keeping with our traditional English feel, our dedicated dart area is always
open, and boasts one of, if not the only, raised oches in the city! For years
the Duke has been known as one of the city's most popular venues for pub darts,
and has continually had a team or two in league play on Tuesday nights. You'll
find darters of all skill levels and experience throwing at our boards, and
might not have any trouble finding someone to throw against in an impromptu
match. Blind draw doubles and single player tournament are held from time to
time, as well as special dart events.
The Menu:
The Duke's menu includes not just delicious traditional pub food, but also New
Cuisine items and specially selected international dishes as well. Catering to
all tastes, there's something for everyone on our menu. We have daily chef
specials as well as our famous The Great British Breakfast on weekends - a
domestic pint with full English breakfast -available all day all weekend
long as long as our kitchen is open and serving hour allow.
Daily Specials:
- Mondays: All Day British Breakfast!
- Tuesdays: Cheap Wings!
- Wednesdays: Appetisers!
- Thursdays: Sheppard's Pie!
- Fridays: Cheap Wings!
- Saturdays: All Day British Breakfast!
- Sundays: Free Pool!
Parking:
Parking is plentiful with metered street spots available on several
nearby sidestreets, as well as several municipal parking lots only
blocks away. If you're taking a cab, many cab drivers will know how to
get to us just by our name alone. Cab service home is easy as taxis are
available outside our pub at all times of day.
Public Transit:
Close to the heart of the Toronto Subway system, the Yonge/Bloor station, the
Duke of Gloucester is one of the easiest pubs to get to in the city. Just walk
2-1/2 blocks south from Bloor on Yonge and look for our UK flags above the
sidewalk next to the Panasonic Theatre.
